Originally from Montreal, Canada, I have been living in Germany for the past 12 years with my husband and two children, 11 and 13. I am a secondary school teacher and PDA-certified facilitator and trainer with over 25 years of experience in education. At Positive Relationships.de, my goal is to create a supportive and respectful environment for children.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education from McGill University (Canada) and two Master’s degrees: one in Education from Brock University (Canada) and another in Educational Psychology & Counselling from the University of Derby (UK).
I started my journey in Positive Discipline in 2016 when I became a Positive Discipline in the Classroom Educator. Since then, I have been using PD tools in my classroom and at home. I became a Trainer in Positive Discipline in the Classroom, and have been facilitating Positive Discipline workshops since 2021. During this time, I have gained extensive experience in empowering educators and parents with effective strategies to promote positive behaviour and nurturing relationships with children.
Currently, I am the mental health and well-being counsellor for the senior school at the International School of Düsseldorf. I’m also the EAL Co-department Head where I teach grades 6, 7 and 8. Moreover, I hold the role of Positive Discipline Senior School coordinator where I have been training and certifying my colleagues in Positive Discipline in the Classroom since 2021. Furthermore, I work with parents by holding Parenting in the Positive Discipline Way workshops.
